A design research project by ECAL
Heart of Glass is a research project led by ECAL’s Master Product Design programme between 2012 and 2014. This project was set out over four workshops involving students and assistants, aiming to question the potential of glass in contemporary art and design. In the columns below you will find the results of each of these four workshops.
Two different glasses produced with the same mold. The amount of material used defines the function of the object; a large amount produces a thick, isolating glass and a smaller amount generates a thin glass with a larger capacity.
